3 Tips to Healthy Weight Loss

Coming to the realization you need to lose some weight isn’t always a thought easily swallowed. When we get to this point we often want to see results quickly. This is a mistake. Establishing a healthy and appropriate diet plan takes time.

Talking to your doctor before starting a plan is something often over looked. This quick guide will help you get the basics of healthy dieting and give you an idea of what to expect if you are planning to start.

Set a reasonable goal- When we look at ourselves we must determine what our ideal weight is, this can be difficult. Use of a weight chart can help you figure out how much weight you should loose. Remember that the proper amount of weight to lose is 3-4 pounds a month.

Determining how frequently to exercise- When looking at this step you must be honest with yourself. Starting with 30 minutes 3x per day is a healthy starting point. If you determine you can not keep up with this time frame reduce it to 15 min. 3x day.

Document your exercise and diet plan- Keep track of what you eat on a daily basis. Begin with a sensible breakfast. Skipping breakfast will lower your metabolism not allowing you to burn the proper amount of calories. You should eat light during dinner reducing the amount you intake before bed. Remember to tell your doctor before beginning.

Following these steps will keep you healthy and losing weight in no time!
